Mitchell Berghmans was the initiator of this great idea of joining the MSBL/MABL World Series Phoenix with a team from Holland.
Mitchell and his brother Maikel, just two Dutch guys who love baseball, met Don George a few years ago when George was coaching in Holland. They had the opportunity to play the same tournament in 2008. Mitchell came up with this idea, when Don George was over in Holland this year as envoy coach. Mitchell started to contact players if they where willing to participate in this big tournament. At this point we’re going to play in the highest division wood. We’re going to play against ex-pro’s and the level of the teams will be extremely high. Meanwhile Mitchell is just a player and the staff has taken it over.
